Colette Scarbrough-Jelfs, Head of Operations and Partnerships
After a short battle with cancer, my husband Andy died in July 2012, leaving me with our three girls aged 1, 6 and 13.
Finding WAY was a stepping stone to our ‘new normal’, introducing the girls to people who understood was a breath of fresh air and helped them to grow in confidence.
During my time as a member of WAY, I was given the opportunity to give back to the charity through volunteering by organising trips away.
In January 2017, I joined the WAY Operations team as 'Membership Services Manager' and have since become 'Head of Operations & Partnerships.'
I'm so glad to have the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to help support WAY members.
"I also love being able to spread the word about the charity that has played such a huge part in my life."
