Emma Gray, WAY Ambassador
Emma joined WAY after being widowed aged 39 when her Royal Marine husband died from oesophageal cancer, leaving her with two daughters aged 6 and 8 years old. At the time Emma was a lawyer, specialising in Private Client matters such as Wills, powers of attorney, probate, tax and trusts.
Emma left her legal career just before the first lockdown to retrain as a counsellor and she has subsequently set up her own ‘Rainbow Hunting’ website, which is dedicated to making end-of-life legal and mental health concepts more easily understood in the hope that people can more easily find joy in dark times.
Emma set up a WAY Military Subgroup in December 2020 after discovering that one of the secondary losses she was struggling with was the loss of the link to the military that she had through her late husband. Emma hopes that by being an Ambassador she can promote WAY, particularly within the military community.
