Norman Smart, WAY Ambassador

Norman has been a WAY member for almost six years. Norman’s wife, Helen, died from CPM, a type of locked-in syndrome. 

Norman has volunteered as an Area Contact in Berkshire for five years and was the 2018 Mandy Burrows Award winner for outstanding services to WAY.  As well as raising funds for WAY recently by shaving off his lockdown locks, Norman has also developed ‘Man Cave’ – a Facebook Group specifically for male WAY members.
