Sophie Laws, WAY Ambassador

Sophie joined WAY in 2018 after her partner Andrew died suddenly and unexpectedly from sepsis and other long-term complications that had made life as a young couple very stressful. They have a son together called Alex.

"As a family of two, we are moving forward with the help of WAY and school as well as friends & family," said Sophie. "This year, three years on, we are starting to have adventures and give our son the childhood that he deserves."

She told us: "WAY has helped me enormously - with online support and interest groups, weekends away, days out... I’m able to give back a little to WAY three years later, by being an Ambassador. WAY needs more public awareness so those widowed and young can access the unique help & support of the WAY peer to peer network."
