“My name is Diane and I lost my partner in 2010 to suicide. At the time, I was 41 and had three children who were then aged 11, 7 and 6. I joined WAY in 2011 and since then have become the Area Contact for Lancashire and am delighted to have been appointed as Ambassador for this incredible charity. WAY has been a great help to me because it has brought me great comfort knowing that I am not alone in this journey.
Through WAY I have met many lifelong friends who are always there, whether it is for a laugh or for support. Whilst being part of WAY I have spoken on Radio 5 Live and BBC Look North West about the help that WAY provides.
I hope that in my role as an Ambassador I will allow me to carry on spreading awareness of WAY so that those who need us, find us. WAY has helped me through some of the hardest and darkest times of my life and I hope that being an Ambassador will allow me to help others for many years to come.”
