There are now two, specialist, external telephone support lines available for members

The Counselling Support line, which is available 9am-9pm Monday-Friday, provides:

  • "In the moment" support and advice.
  • Access to structured telephonic counselling which includes an initial assessment, formulation of a counselling plan and a programme of telephone counselling sessions.

The Legal and Financial Support line, which is available 24/7, provides:

  • Support for all types of legal enquiries, such as consumer and neighbour disputes, property enquiries, personal injury and employment queries.
  • Assistance with financial enquiries including benefit queries, wealth management, wills, trusts and probate.

How does it work?

Counselling Support through Professional Handling

The Member makes a call to the relevant phone number where they will be asked which organisation the member is calling from.  The qualified Counsellor will carry out an assessment and then provide “in the moment” advice and support or refer for Structured Counselling via telephone or zoom for up to 6 sessions.

Legal Support through Irwin Mitchell

The Member makes a call to the relevant phone number where they will be asked which organisation the member is calling from.  The qualified para-legal will offer free initial legal support into general matters.

Financial Support through Irwin Michell

The Member makes a call to the relevant phone number where they will be asked which organisation the member is calling from.  If an advisor is available, they will discuss issue with the member and offer support in navigating their next steps.  If an advisor is not available, then a mutually convenient call back time will be arranged.
