More than 160 WAY members and children spent an action-packed weekend at Kingswood Activity Centre in Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire last month. Thanks to the huge generosity of one of our members, kids went free for the whole weekend. And parents and kids alike got to try out a whole host of exciting activities – from climbing up high ropes, leaping onto trapezes, zipping down zipwires, learning how to fence and crawling blindfold through a tunnel! A great time was had by all. And the best news is that we’re hoping it will all happen again next February!
A group of intrepid WAY members has also just returned from an amazing trip to Iceland, where they got to see the Northern Lights in all their glory.
And there are plenty more WAY events to look forward to throughout the year too – including a caravanning weekend in Dorset to mark Father’s Day in June and a camping trip to Derbyshire in July, as well as the annual Center Parcs gathering at Sherwood Forest in October. A group of WAY members is also escaping to the sunshine of Cyprus this Easter, and there are other trips planned to the Costa Blanca, Tignes and Alton Towers throughout 2014.
