Roaring success in Dragon Boat Race

Fifteen WAY members dressed up as jellyfish and rowed down the River Thames this summer to raise funds for WAY!

Not only did they win a prize for the jelly-legged head gear, they also came second in one of their races and broke all previous WAY records by raising more than £11,000 for WAY!

Enormous thanks to the fabulous WAY Members Without Children (WAY Wocs) who took part in the race – and to everyone else who supplied cake and moral support on the day!

Top fundraiser Ben Clayton-Wolfindale told us: "Ask any of us – rowers and supporters alike – and I bet we will all say the same thing: that it was a fantastic weekend, a brilliant fun-packed day and, most of all, how proud we are to be part of WAY and to help raise over £10K for such a brilliant, inspirational charity."

With thanks to WAY members Ed Spooner and Gary Marson for the fantastic photographs of the Dragon Boat racing.
