WAY at CenterParcs

More than 400 WAY members and children have just returned from a hugely successful weekend at CenterParcs.

There were loads of activities for everyone to enjoy – from kids’ Olympics to bike rides, spa treatments, football matches, tenpin bowling, laser combat and a Halloween-themed dinner and disco too.

The fun started on the Friday evening with a meet and greet event with craft tables, face painting, teenage quiz and even a loom band table, as well as a head shave for Sussex member Amanda McNulty, whose fundraising feat won her a mention in her local paper – The Hastings and St Leonard’s Observer.

And the fun didn’t stop all weekend, with children’s entertainers, medals galore, lots of time enjoying the pool and a few sore heads on the Sunday morning!

Huge thanks to WAY members Sharon Whitehead and Linda Heywood for organising the weekend at CenterParcs in Sherwood Forest, which has become WAY’s biggest annual gathering.

“Hours of work go into making the weekend the huge success it is,” says Sharon. “And Linda and I enjoy every minute of watching our members and children have so much fun.”

Here are some photos of the weekend (with thanks to Sharon Whitehead)…
