More than 500 WAY members and children have just returned from a fantastic weekend at CenterParcs in Sherwood Forest.
There were lots of activities for everyone to enjoy – from kids’ Olympics to bike rides, from football matches to a Halloween-themed dinner and disco, as well as trick or treating for the kids.
Here's what one of our members said, after her eighth trip to CenterParcs with fellow WAYers:
"Thinking back to me being a scared young widow with a 3 year old boy, I remember watching the members who were much further into this journey and hoping that one day I would feel stronger and be able to laugh as much as they were doing," she said. "Well this weekend I've laughed so much with new and not so new members that my stomach still hurts."
Huge thanks to WAY members Sharon Whitehead and Linda Heywood for organising the weekend at CenterParcs in Sherwood Forest, which has become WAY’s biggest annual gathering.
There are already plans in the pipeline for next year's trip!
Here are some photos of the weekend (with thanks to Sharon Whitehead)…
