WAY member chosen as Paula Radcliffe Great Runner

We've just heard the incredibly exciting news that Bromley WAY member Pherenice Worsey-Buck has been chosen as one of Paula Radcliffe's Great Runners! She'll be receiving exclusive training advice in the run up to the the Morrisons Great Newham London Run, which is taking place in the former Olympic Stadium on Sunday, 19 July 2015.

Pherenice had her first training session with Paula and five other inspirational women at the Olympic Park earlier today.

Pherenice took up running after her husband died of cancer in September 2013 (at her son's insistence that she should "get fit"). This year she is truly taking up the challenge by running in 43 races to raise funds for WAY Widowed and Young - that's one race for each year her husband was alive.

“We couldn’t be more proud that Pherenice has been chosen as one of the Radcliffe Great Runners,” said WAY’s Chairman Georgia Elms. “Pherenice’s story has been such an inspiration to our members and we hope she will inspire many other people to take up running and get active too.”

Join us in congratulating Pherenice and the other Radcliffe Great Runners. And please show your support for Pherenice's 43-race challenge here https://www.justgiving.com/Pherenice-Worsey-Buck/
