PGL Adventure: Making new memories with WAY

Earlier this month, more than 60 WAY members and children headed to PGL Caythorpe Court near Grantham for a weekend of adventure including high ropes, zip wire, archery, climbing, buggy building, problem solving, survival skills and a campfire.

“It was a great opportunity for WAY members and their families to spend some time in the company of other people who understood what they’re going through,” said WAY’s Membership and Finance Officer Tanya Bennett.

“It was fantastic to see people making new friends and new memories together!”

We also hosted a film crew from the Smiley Movement who interviewed our Chief Executive Stephanie Patrick and two of our members, Sharon and Gary. They have taken some of the fantastic photos below and we look forward to sharing their video footage, just as soon as it’s ready.

Our members really got stuck into the activities over the weekend and everyone had a fantastic time. 

One of our members, Sarah, summed it up brilliantly: “First of all, a massive thank you to Tanya and the WAY team for organising such a fun weekend. Thank you to PGL and all their fabulous staff. And thank you to every WAY member I had the pleasure to meet – what a fab group.”
