Walking for WAY
We’re delighted that seven of our members and three supporters are taking part in the London Winter Walk for WAY next weekend.
Xavier is a Winter Walk participant who shared his reasons behind the fundraiser:
"Following my wife Claudia's death last April, I was introduced by the hospice where Claudia died to WAY Widowed and Young.
WAY has been a godsend for me - it has given me the opportunity to talk to and meet people who are on the same journey. So many friends, family and others have supported me in all sorts of different ways and I will always be so grateful for that. However, I have found a great deal of comfort in talking to people who instinctively understand the impact of being bereaved.
"To be able to say what I'm really feeling to people who don't need an explanation. Just to hear that others experience the same emotions has been an immense comfort."
I am trying to raise money for WAY, both as a way of saying thank you for all the support that it has given me since Claudia died, and to help WAY to reach and support more younger people who have been bereaved. I know how important that support is.

The Tough Mudder challenges are the perfect event for a mucky adventure.
Rally a group of friends and take on one of the events. There are multiple date and locations across the UK.
We would love to have some WAY members/supporters taking part in this year's event.
WAY are always grateful for any donation/fundraising effort, however large or small. Everything we receive is put to good use to keep our services up to date for our members.
